WHERE KENTUCKY RECRUITS STAND IN FINAL ESPN 2024 RANKINGS

The Kentucky Wildcats are currently embarking on a new era for the program as Mark Pope takes over in Lexington.

Currently, he and his staff are working on filling out their roster, and it will look quite different than it has over the last 15 seasons. With only one incoming freshman in the 2024 class in Eddyville native Travis Perry, the Cats still have a top-75 prospect.

In the final class of 2024 recruiting rankings by ESPN, Perry came in at No. 74.

The Cats are also pursuing another top-10 prospect in Liam McNeeley, who clocks in at No. 10 overall in the updated rankings. Pope is currently trying to land a visit from the talented 5-star prospect, and if he can, you have to like Kentucky’s chances.

However, UConn appears to be the likely pick for McNeeley.

In regard to recent Kentucky decommits since the coaching change, Boogie Fland leads the pack, coming in at No. 15 overall. He is closely followed by Jayden Quaintance at No. 16.

Then comes new Arkansas commit Karter Knox at No. 26, while Billy Richmond clocks in at 38th, and Somto Cyril is 49th.

The Cats are still in play for Fland and seem to be out of the mix for Quaintance after the canceled in-home visit this week.

The roster will look different than it has in the past, and that’s not a bad thing.
